This website was inspired by the book The 100: Insights and lessons from 100 of the greatest speeches ever delivered. Our aim with both the book and this website are to encourage greater consideration of the art of oratory and the spoken word, and to help you become a better speaker and presenter.

Almost certainly you won’t agree with our choice of 100. What we hope you will agree with is the fact that communications are as (or more) important now than ever, and thinking about what makes a great speaker and speech is a valuable activity that is often neglected. So, ask not what this book can do for you – ask what you can do with the help of The 100.
